NHWIS is an Online Web Based Hazardous Waste Information System which gives the status of Hazardous Waste Management in the country. The database will be regularly updated by all State Pollution Control boards on Web & this will provide the updated status of all the hazardous waste generating industries in the country. The NHWIS project is being developed by Environment & Forest Group of NIC in close consultation with Hazardous Waste Division of Ministry of Environment & Forests.
