Gomati

        River Gomti originates from the district of Pilibheet meanders 715 km through the heart of the State of U.P. amd merges with river Ganga near Ghazipur. On its way many tributaries meet this river which also carry pollution load from other districts. However, the river is badly polluted in the stretch of Lucknow to Sultanpur and Jaunpur.
